With the Toronto Maple Leafs looking to play their second preseason game against Ottawa on Tuesday, let's take a look at who is projected to lineup for Craig Berube.

After Toronto was able to secure a 4-3 victory over the Ottawa Senators on Sunday to kick off the preseason, it was the junior Maple Leafs who were able to pull out the dub albeit with some help from a couple of NHL-caliber players like Nick Robertson and Calle Jarnkrok.
Tuesday's game is likely going to feature those who are more regular members of the everyday roster, and we could see the preseason debuts of Auston Matthews, John Tavares and others.

Projected Lineups and Who To Keep An Eye On

While we wait and see how the team is going to actually lineup on Tuesday night, we can at least give you a general idea of what the team is thinking at least when it comes to their preliminary lineup:
Knies - Matthews - Maccelli
McMann - Tavares - W. Nylander
Joshua - Haymes - Robertson
Lorentz - Laughton - Cowan
Rielly - Carlo
McCabe - Tanev
Ekman-Larsson - Danford
Hildeby
Akhtyamov
If we are going to see the regular lineup for tonight, then it's a great indicator of how Craig Berube wants to structure his lineup this season. A big focus was on balancing things out and making sure each line has a role filled, so it'll be interesting to see how he accomplishes that.
It'll also be the first time newcomers like Matias Maccelli, and Dakota Joshua will step on the ice for the team in a game situation and their debuts are highly anticipated as Toronto transitions into their new identity.
Nic Roy isn't skating as he still deals with a lower-body injury though was skating at practice so it won't be long until he makes his debut.
It's more Marlies goaltending for tonight's game, however it's Dennis Hildeby earning the start and looking to prove that he can be a reliable backup; especially with the news of Joseph Woll's absence.
Also interesting to note is that both Nick Robertson and Easton Cowan are both in the lineup after Sunday's game and clearly earned another opportunity to impress head coach Craig Berube.
So too are Luke Haymes and Ben Danford, who are both also getting some serious attention after strong showings at both the Prospect Showcase and in the first game against Ottawa.
A lot of the other groupings are pretty standard like McCabe/Tanev, Rielly/Carlo, as well as Lorentz and Laughton being attached at the hip much like the end of last year.
Toronto is at home on Tuesday night as they host the Senators in their second preseason game. The game is scheduled for a 7pm ET start time.
**We will update you with the official lineup closer to the game**
More details to come. Stay tuned for updates.
