Maple Leafs' Projected Lineup Against the Avalanche Has Been Revealed
Thanks to the efforts of
Auston Matthews, and the emergence of Toronto's special teams units, the team
skated away with the 6-2 victory over the Calgary Flames.
Going perfect on the power play and killing off every man advantage from Calgary, it was a fantastic display of hockey that hasn't been seen in a long time.
It was a full on show of force, and a great sign that Toronto is capable of turning it on when it matters, leaving no excuses for an early playoff exit (especially if they can get that production from Matthews consistently).
Toronto Rolling Out Same Dominant Lineup vs. Colorado
So it's unsurprising that Craig Berube wants to keep things as is, and while it was questioned why he changed things back to the norm, it worked out in spades.
Which is why when Toronto takes the ice against Colorado, it's going to look a lot like it did against the Flames.
A full team effort ended up getting Toronto the victory, and backed by goals from both their first line and third line (a massive positive for them) means that something good is in the works.
They have only a few weeks left to get things rolling, and if they can gather some much needed momentum, while Florida and Tampa Bay continue to falter; it could be the advantage they need to slide into top spot.
If the Maple Leafs don't come out swinging
against the Avalanche however, expect a brand new lineup the next time they take the ice as Craig Berube tries to get some type of lineup working before it's too late.
