Bob Baun Passes
Legendary Leafs Defenceman Bob Baun passes Monday evening at the age of 86.
Baun was a Leaf from 1956 through 67, and then again from 1970-73. Despite being just 5 foot 9, Baun was a tough, hard-nosed defenseman.
Bobby Baun was one of my childhood heroes scoring an overtime winning goal on a broken ankle to lead the Leafs to a Stanley Cup.
Latter he became a good friend full of wonderful stories of games, teams and teammates. RIP my friend Boomer Baun!!

Baun's Legacy
Baun recorded 37 goals and 187 assists in his 964 career NHL games. He spent a lot of time in the box, with over 1400 PIMs in his career.
He was responsible for the game-winning goal in game 6 of the 1964 Stanley Cup Finals, winning the Leafs their thrid consecutive Stanley Cup.
Our deepest condolences are with the Baun family at this time.
