Leafs may have missed out on Stanley Cup Champion Craig Berube

According to Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli, the Toronto Maple Leafs might be gearing up for a coaching change.
They have their eye on Craig Berube, the former head coach and 2019 Stanley Cup champion of the St. Louis Blues, but he might not stick around long enough for them to snag him.
The Leafs pushed back their management media day from Thursday to Friday, which has the media buzzing that something big is brewing. Seravalli thinks there's a pretty good chance they'll pull the trigger on a coaching change, but snagging Berube might be a long shot.
I would say the likelihood is very strong that the Leafs make a coaching change. When it comes to Craig Berube I'm just not convinced he's going to be on the market long enough to get to Toronto. He's on their list or would be on their list of candidates but I think he's very high on the New Jersey Devils list and I'm not sold he makes it to the end of this week and that the Leafs may not be done their process yet and he may be off the table.
The question is if the Leafs miss out on Berube, will they still pull the trigger on shaking up their coaching staff? Even if Berube ends up with the Devils, there are plenty of other experienced coaches out there, like Todd McLellan and Gerard Gallant, who could be options.
However, what we do know is that Sheldon Keefe's days as the Leafs' head coach are numbered, whether Berube lands in Toronto or not. The next few days are going to be filled with speculation and nail-biting for Leafs fans.
