Rumblings of a Marner for Saros trade emerge online

Rumours circulating online of a potential off-season trade between the Nashville Predators and Toronto Maple Leafs centred around Juuse Saros and Mitch Marner are running wild.

This is a highly realistic scenario for both teams as Nashville could use a highly dynamic star winger while Toronto could use a star goaltender.


Saros helped backstopped the Nashville Predators to the 2024 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. Even though they were eliminated in the first round, he was a big proponent of their success.


Marner was a part of the Leafs' rather upsetting exit and he didn't have his big moment. Fans are giving him the Jake Gardiner treatment as he riled up fans worse than he usually does.



Sending Marner to Nashville gives Filip Forsberg a set-up player and a scoring threat to an already great Predators roster.

Saros over to Toronto provides the Leafs with an opportunity to have something they haven't had in a long time, a strong goaltending tandem.


Joseph Woll, although injury-prone, could be a great fringe-starter option given his health hold-up. Juuse Saros can become a legend in Toronto if he can backstop them to a deep playoff run.


With Woll, it's decision time once his current deal expires. With Saros, you fight tooth and nail to bring him in and keep him in Toronto.
