Latest Mitch Marner trade proposal enough to make Leafs fans sick

People have grown tired of all the Marner trade speculation circulating on social media. Over the last few weeks, fans have read of Marner potentially being traded to Nashville, Seattle, Chicago and Vegas, among many others. However, the latest trade proposal is so unexpected, it's making Leafs fans cringe.

A few days ago, Bodog Casino posted an image that was photo shopped, depicting Marner in a rival Montreal Canadiens uniform, with captions that really angered Leafs fans.

Marner is coming off a very strong season, so what could the Habs possibly offer the Leafs to make a deal happen? Montreal is still in a re-build phase, therefore it's highly unlikely they would even consider sending Juraj Slafkovsky or David Reinbacher to the Leafs, as those are future stars for Montreal.

The chances of Marner heading to the Canadiens is extremely unlikely. Should Marner decide to test the free agency market next summer, a signing with the Habs is also unlikely, as the amount of pressure players face in Montreal could be, at times, even worse than in Toronto.
