Even though Kyle Dubas made some extremely good moves during his tenure in Toronto, such as acquiring Ryan O'Reilly, Noel Acciari, Jake McCabe, and Luke Schenn at the same deadline, he also made several mistakes.
Now that he has joined the Pittsburgh Penguins, he opened up about his past failures during a recent speech.
Yesterday evening, Dubas attended the graduation ceremony of Brock University, his alma mater, and he received an honorary degree.
This is the first time, except for when he published a statement on Twitter, that he has talked about his firing from the Leafs.
It's refreshing to see someone own up to their mistakes like that. Let's hope he will learn from them and bring this experience to Pittsburgh.
As reported on Maple Leafs Daily - Kyle Dubas publicly admits to a number of mistakes and miscalculations during his time with the Leafs
