The Toronto Maple Leafs are set to match up against the Boston Bruins tonight in a must-win Game 5. Reports are trying to confirm whether or not they will have superstar goalscorer Auston Matthews in the lineup. In the last few minutes Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe addressed the situation.

The Toronto Maple Leafs made major waves this morning as Auston Matthews skated for the first time since leaving during Game 4. After practice, head coach Sheldon Keefe was asked whether or not Auston Matthews will end up playing.
No determination yet on Auston Matthews' status for Game 5. It'll be the doctor's call.

Keefe declined to answer if there is something beyond just an illness hindering him.

Despite there being no determination yet according to Sheldon Keefe there is still hope that Auston Matthews will be able to suit up for Game 5.
Sheldon Keefe says the Leafs are still hoping that Auston Matthews can play in Game 5: «No determination at this time.»

It sounds as though Auston Matthews will be a true game-time decision made in part by the team's doctor. With practice over the next time, we will likely get an update on his potential game status during warmups. If Auston Matthews takes warmups it leaves the option open for him to play in Game 5.
