Joseph Woll made a promise to donate $5K every time the Maple Leafs won with him in net, and at the end of it all was able to donate a $80,000 for charity.

Although his season started out a bit rough, Joseph Woll was able to put together a great season and together with Anthony Stolarz created arguably the best goaltender duo the team has ever seen.
Both men hit 20 wins, and although Woll was called upon heavily in the playoffs and couldn't push through; things were still successful for him all things considered and showed serious flashes of brilliance at times.

Woll Takes A Stand For Mental Health; Donates Nearly Six-Figures

But it was his promise to the community that stood out. Woll acknowledged that for every win the Leafs get at Scotiabank Arena with him in net, he would donate $5,000 to the CAMH Foundation; a charity focused on mental health.
It's something Woll has a lot of personal connection with, and he strives to show the importance of proper treatment and mental health awareness. So with that successful season came quite the nice donation too.
Woll was able to donate a cool $80,000, and the smile on his face tells it all. CAMH was ecstatic too, and put out a statement thanking Woll for his tireless efforts:
Woll saved, we scored! Together, we raised $80,000 for mental health care.

During the 2024/25 season, every home win with Joseph in net unlocked a $5,000 donation from @MattamyHomes to support better mental health care for everyone. Plus, when the Leafs earned a home game shutout, that donation doubled.

Thanks to every save, every win and every fan who followed along, this campaign made a real impact - raising funds, awareness and above all else, hope for those experiencing mental illness.

We're so grateful for your support, which will help expand access to mental health and addiction care for all.

Let's keep building a future where no one is left behind.

Not only is this a feel good story all around, but if Woll continues his philanthropic ways, who knows what type of advancements and help that money will go towards; and Woll is going to try hard to earn even more next year no doubt.

Joseph Woll Set For Successful 2025-26 Season

After a great season last year, expect Woll to be even better this season, especially healthy.
While he may be sharing a lot of the duties with Anthony Stolarz, he's in the final year of his deal meanwhile Woll is here for the long haul.
He posted a 27-14-1 record with a 2.73 GAA and .909 SV%; a huge leap from his 12-11-1 record in 2023-24. One thing to note, Woll doesn't really let games go to extra time, and prefers to shut the door in the 3rd period.
While he has his faults, mainly his inability to come out of the gate hot, he does play better towards the latter half of the game and seems to pick things up when it gets tough; but he needs to calm down in the first 40 minutes.
But he's also got a brand new lineup with a lot more depth and defense in tow, so he can rest a bit easier though he's still in tough against the likes of Florida, Tampa Bay and Ottawa.
Though it likely won't bother Woll, and as long as he has something beyond a Cup to fight for: He's going to shine bright.
