With the Maple Leafs looking to build off a big win against the Panthers, they will take on Columbus on Saturday, but will they have their injured in the lineup?

Toronto is going to take on the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night as they look to capitalize on the momentum they gained from a hard fought win over the Florida Panthers on Wednesday, but not without some injury issues.
Both David Kampf and Jake McCabe left the game, and while we know that they missed practice on Friday, they could potentially still make their way into the lineup.
But unfortunately for the Maple Leafs, that won't be the case as both men have been officially ruled out of the game.
Craig Berube didn't give much insight, although what he did say could be a huge cause for concern given its history and connotations:
Right now I'd say day-to-day. I can't really comment on that too much about how long it's going to be.
That sounds like a nightmare scenario for the Maple Leafs as they continue their journey for an Atlantic Division crown.

Toronto Shorthanded Against Critical Game vs. Columbus

Losing both McCabe and Kampf is not necessarily the worst thing in the world given Toronto already clinched a playoff berth but it's a definite concern that we not only hear the death sentence of "day to day" but that it happens just as Toronto was gaining much needed momentum.
McCabe has been elite this season alongside Chris Tanev, and the duo are unquestionably Toronto's top pairing on the back end, and his absence will be sorely missed; especially if Toronto starts to give up way more high-danger chances.
In 66 games, McCabe has 23 points (2G, 21A) and adding a lot of top tier defense, and is as pure as defenseman as comes by; he also has 135 blocks, 118 hits, and a plus-23 rating in 21:31 TOI.
Kampf, while not offensively a huge impactful player, he makes up for it with his penalty killing and defense. Known for winning face-offs and holding opponents at bay, he does still have 13 points in 59 games (5G, 8A).
Toronto is going to be in tough, but with a complete effort and some luck, they will be able to handle the Blue Jackets.
At least we hope.
