NHL Insider David Pagnotta revealed that some more front office moves are expected for the Maple Leafs once they have a better idea of a plan going forward.

After cutting ties with Brendan Shanahan, the Toronto Maple Leafs are going to be operating without a Team President for the time being.
MLSE CEO Keith Pelley is going to work closely with Brad Treliving and Craig Berube to improve things for the team and formulate a plan for the future.
While the team has already stated they won't be rushing to replace Shanahan anytime soon, NHL Insider David Pagnotta has heard that may not exactly be 100% true.

Toronto Searching For Front Office Help: David Pagnotta

According to Pagnotta, the Maple Leafs aren't rushing to get things done, but once Pelley and Treliving discuss what the team wants to accomplish, they are going to make some more front office moves:
Any additional potential management/front office changes in Toronto will come after Pelley & Treliving meet and discuss the plan moving forward.

Rumblings some changes may be coming, but nothing confirmed at this time.
There is a potential to see other names that Shanahan brought in be on the chopping block potentially, such as Brandon Pridham; the salary cap guru who has helped the team immensely over the last decade, but might be let go in favor of a different voice.
But they could also look at adding some important figures in the lineup. Shanahan, for all his faults, was key in establishing a better relationship with the Maple Leafs alumni.
So that leads to the potential of names like Mats Sundin, Dave Andreychuk, or Doug Gilmour take consulting roles, or the team could look at recently released executives like Rob Blake to help out.
But do these potential changes really mean much in the end?

Keith Pelley Playing It Slow; Leaves No Stone Unturned

Pelley was frank in his assessment of the team during his press conference, and while he was confident in them, he relented there were certainly things to be worked on.
Letting go of Shanahan and trying to have a more hands on approach is certainly admirable, and Pelley doesn't need to make decisions and leave that up to the GM.
Plus, the team is already looking on how to better things for fans going forward, and it's all part of the plan. Patience is going to be a huge balancing act for fans, but this isn't like teams of old.
Toronto might not win the division again but they'll certainly be able to compete, and Pelley's dedication and trust in his GM and head coach is a testament to how much they've actually improved the team.
So for Pelley, Treliving, and the rest of the team is going to play it patiently, and they have time.
That is, until July 1 comes around.
