The Toronto Maple Leafs are eyeing off a deep Stanley Cup run in 2023-24, and now Elliotte Friedman has suggested that they may be willing to part ways with one of their top prospects.

Nick Robertson to be moved by the Toronto Maple Leafs?

According to Elliotte Friedman, Nick Robertson spent much of the early part of this season unhappy in Toronto, resulting in many trade rumours surrounding the talented young forward.
Now, the top NHL Insider has revealed that while the team want him back after the trade deadline, if he remains unhappy, they are certainly open to moving him in the coming days.
On 32T Elliotte Friedman mentioned that Nick Robertson wasn't happy earlier in the year. He understood why Robertson was being sent down, as he isn't waiver eligible. Toronto wants him back this season after the trade deadline. However, if he remains unhappy and still holds value, they will likely trade him.

Would moving Robertson be a mistake for the Maple Leafs?

When given the opportunity to play in 2023-24, Robertson has been a standout for Toronto, tallying 8 goals and 19 points in 41 games played, and with players like Ryan Reaves constantly in the lineup, it's easy to see why he's unhappy with his role.
However, he's just 22-years of age and has a very bright future in the NHL, so whether he's moved by the Maple Leafs in the next four days or he remains with the team, there's little doubt that he has the potential to be a very good player in he NHL one day.
