Former Maple Leaf prospect leaves the NHL for the KHL
In the last few minutes, a major announcement was made concerning a former goaltender in the Maple Leafs organization.
Dylan Ferguson, the former goaltender for the Marlies, has announced that he reached a deal with Dinamo Minsk in the KHL.
Last season, Ferguson played five games with the Marlies, eight games with the Belleville Senators, and two games with the Ottawa Senators.
During that time, he was successful and proved his talent, but he still decided to pursue his career overseas.
Ferguson, who will be 25 in September, will bring his experience to Russia.
It won't be an easy challenge for the goalie as the KHL is a strong league that can be rough on young players.
However, more and more players decide to leave North America and the NHL to join European Leagues.
We wish him the best on this new start!
