A former Toronto Maple Leaf is placed on waivers as he is potentially poised for a new home.

Former Toronto Maple Leafs forward Noah Gregor was placed on waivers by the Florida Panthers, one of two players waived along with New Jersey Devils defenseman Dennis Cholowski.
Gregor, 27, played in 63 games with the Leafs in the 2023-24 NHL season, signed to a one-year contract after being on a PTO with the Leafs. Gregor had six goals and 12 points with Toronto.
For the club, Gregor has played in 24 games with the Panthers this season, having a goal and three points with Florida, playing largely on the fourth line.
Having been on a tryout with the Panthers, Gregor signed a one-year, two-way contract in earning his way onto the roster, but now heads to waivers.
In seven NHL seasons with four teams, San Jose, Toronto, Ottawa, & Florida, Gregor has appeared in 317 career games, scoring 37 goals, 36 assists, & 73 points, appearing in two career postseason games, both with the Leafs.
Could the Maple Leafs reunite with Noah Gregor?
Could the Toronto Maple Leafs could be a team in the hunt for Noah Gregor? It's an unlikely scenario but could make sense for the Leafs.
Gregor returned to Toronto on Thursday in the Panthers 4-1 loss to the Leafs, Gregor went pointless with a shot on goal.
It's unlikely that with the Leafs seemingly set on offense that they have an interest in adding another forward, as all four lines appear to be good for, despite William Nylander being out, but potentially returning as soon as tomorrow's game vs. the Canucks.
Another team could have interest in Gregor if they want to add a depth forward who can play both center and on the wing, a team that could use offensive help in their bottom-six.
