The renowned insider Elliiotte Friedman confirmed the full details about William Nylander's injury that forced him to miss the first three games of the playoffs.

A day after the Leafs' regular season came to an end, the team announced that Nylander was dealing with an injury, creating a LOT of speculation, even for the Leafs' market.

Friedman confirmed on Sportsnet that Nylander had a severe migraine, which pushed the doctors to test him for a concussion.

Here's what he wrote:

"According to multiple sources, William Nylander's absence from the Toronto lineup has to do with a migraine so severe that team doctors tested to see if he suffered a concussion. One of the reasons for the secrecy around his situation is that an actual diagnosis has been hard to come by, whether it is a migraine, a concussion or something else that could affect that area."

The insider added that back in 2022, Nylander switched to a tinted visor, to help him deal with "eye migraines" he suffered from during the previous season's games.

According to the American Migraine Foundation, migraines can usually take one or two days to heal, but with all the other symptoms that they can cause, a full recovery can take over a week in some cases.

This means that he could be back in time for game four against the Bruins, scheduled to go down on Saturday.
