Darren Raddysh is already the subject of harsh criticism after just one game in Toronto

Darren Raddysh's debut for the Maple Leafs didn't go exactly as planned as he's already receiving backlash from the fanbase after his less-than-stellar start.

Suffice it to say, Darren Raddysh's debut with the Maple Leafs was important. After coming in this summer, suiting up for the blue and white is a dream come true and fulfill's one of his late father's biggest dreams.

But his game wasn't exactly on point for the entire night, and you could chalk it up to nerves or just getting used to a new team; whatever the case - it wasn't great.

He was on the ice for three goals against (minus-2), and while he had three shots and two blocks, he wasn't that strong defensively.

Raddysh admits that his debut didn't go as he wanted it to

It was a rough night for Raddysh and while you can point to him being a factor into why the Maple Leafs came away with the loss on Tuesday, he is still going to be a threat. Also, Raddysh himself will tell you that his game was not what fans or his teammates expect from him:

Obviously, you know, not what we wanted. Obviously, I think personally myself, I can do a little bit better.

It's great to hear that Raddysh is taking accountability for his first game jitters and there's certainly more than enough time for him to turn it around. In fact, he gets a shot at redemption on Wednesday night against the New York Islanders as Toronto plays their second of a back-to-back.

But while Raddysh admits he can be better, that didn't stop the Maple Leafs fanbase from zeroing in on his rough start, as he's already feeling the heat.

Maple Leafs fans are already hounding Raddysh after one game

Social media has had its fair share of criticism towards Raddysh for his performance, with some thinking he was playing the role of the 'Invisible Man:'

Others were pointing to him already ending the team's playoff hopes before it began, and that it may have been an egregious signing:

Granted it's one game and that is such a minute sample size that we can't just rush to say Raddyshisbad, but the initial optics were not good to say the least.

Wednesday is great chance for Raddysh to redeem himself, and he probably should sooner than later because the Maple Leafs fans aren't going to let up if he can't.
