Craig Berube Makes Last-Minute Lineup Change Ahead of Matchup Against the Capitals
The Toronto Maple Leafs have made a last minute decision ahead of tonight's game against the Washington Capitals, with defenseman Conor Timmins in tonight for Toronto, and fellow defender Philippe Myers out against the Capitals.
Myers played in yesterday's game against the Detroit Red Wings in a 5-2 win, having 19:31 TOI with Myers having an assist on a goal scored by Mitch Marner.
Myers, who was on the first line against Detroit alongside Morgan Rielly, now comes out of the lineup with Timmins entering in replacement.
Myers has two points in nine games for the Leafs this season.
Timmins now comes into the lineup, having played last on Dec. 23rd against the Winnipeg Jets.
Timmins, 26, has a goal and seven points in 32 games played this season for Toronto.

Timmins is expected to slot on the Toronto Maple Leafs third pairing alongside Simon Benoit. Oliver Ekman-Larsson joins Morgan Rielly on the first line, with Chris Tanev and Jake McCabe on the second D pair.

The Toronto Maple Leafs come into tonight's game against Washington with a 22-12-2 record, tied for first in the NHL's Atlantic Division with 46 points, with an extra game on hand ahead of the Florida Panthers.
The Capitals, who get Alex Ovechkin back from missing over a month with a leg injury, are second in the Metropolitan Division with a 23-9-2 record, three points back of the New Jersey Devils for first.
