Craig Berube's Latest Admission About Anthony Stolarz Has Leafs Fans Talking

Another game, another loss for the Toronto Maple Leafs but it's what Craig Berube said about Anthony Stolarz has got people debating if his workload is too heavy.
Coming up short yet again, this time to the Buffalo Sabres; a team that always seems to be a thorn in their side at times, the Maple Leafs were not only severely shorthanded, but gave up too many wide open chances that the Sabres capitalized on.
Anthony Stolarz can't really be blamed, given that he had a rough night from the group in front of him, and gave his best efforts to help the Maple Leafs the entire game.
Anthony Stolarz's Heavy Workload Is Starting to Raise Questions
But he looks tired, both mentally and physically which does not bode well for Toronto and head coach Craig Berube has noticed his goaltender's struggles, which is why he's going to have a little chit-chat.
Telling reporters post-game that he intends to speak with Stolarz, it sounds like this might be a way for the goalie to hash out any issues without disrupting the locker room.
I don't know. I want to wait until I talk to him first, but it's a lot for him. We leaned on him heavy here and it's a lot of games, a lot of hockey he played. So, I'm sure he's tired a little bit.
Stolarz was starting his seventh game in eight, and that led to him needing to ice his body after the game; a sign of severe fatigue and strain.
The team needs to rely on
Cayden Primeau more, and while he's not as good as Stolarz or
Joseph Woll, during times like these when you're in a slump; just get the backup in there for a couple game to keep him fresh, but also give the starter a much needed break.

But the general consensus is that Stolarz' status as a #1 should be in doubt because of his inability to manage a workload but given he's had a brutal defense, and is clearly dealing with something; can you blame him for being tired?
This isn't the 50's where goalies play entire seasons and the backup is a formality essentially; this is a faster, harder game that requires adequate rest and relaxation which has so far not been a luxury for Anthony Stolarz.
