Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube wants some impartiality, and explained that Max Domi's hit was bad, but Florida's on Mitch Marner was considerably worse.

The Toronto Maple Leafs were shutout on Sunday night in a poor overall showing from everyone except Joseph Woll, who kept the team in the game when it could have been much, much worse.
There was violence as expected, with both teams getting into it. Max Domi boarded Aleksander Barkov into the boards and got fined, Oliver Ekman-Larsson laid out Evan Rodrigues, and Mitch Marner got blatantly elbowed in the head.
Only two of those incidents resulted in punishment, and you can pretty much guess which ones.
Toronto once again got a player nearly have his head taken off with no repercussions, and it's starting to get tiresome.
Especially for Craig Berube.

Craig Berube Knows Hit On Mitch Marner Worse Than Domi's On Barkov

The head coach was incensed after the game, explaining that Dimitry Kulikov's elbow to Mitch Marner's head not only warranted punishment, but that it was blatantly worse:
To me the Kulikov hit on Marner was 10 times worse.
It's not too surprising to see Berube sticking up for his player, and he must be getting fed up with the increasingly biased officiating in Round Two.
This is the third time a Maple Leafs player could have been seriously hurt. Anthony Stolarz was taken out by Sam Bennett, meanwhile Evan Rodrigues tried to leap into the air and deliver an elbow into John Tavares' head.
It seems that the Panthers have a game plan, and it involves the ol' 'Elbows Out" strategy, one that while effective, has led to the potential for catastrophe, and the league really doesn't seem to care.
However, the roles were reversed and Toronto got fined for Max Domi's hit; while it wasn't a suspension, it does show that Florida gets away with a lot more, and it's costing the Leafs.
There needs to come a time where the NHL looks at things and decides to be impartial about things. Marner is one of the world's best, and it sends a terrible message that he's able to be run over with no regard for his safety.
Fans are fed up, the Maple Leafs are fed up, and most certainly Craig Berube is fed up.
We just want a bit of fairness, is that too much to ask?
