A concrete trade proposal involving Patrik Laine emerged between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The Leafs have many holes to fill in their lineup, and to do so, the Columbus Blue Jackets could be the perfect trade partners.
It was recently confirmed that Patrik Laine is looking for a fresh start and asked for a trade out of Columbus.
While adapting to a market like Toronto can be hard for players, getting a fresh start with an opportunity to play on the Leafs' top six doesn't come around often.
It has been suggested that Laine could be a part of a blockbuster deal with two other important members of the Blue Jackets in return for Mitch Marner.
There have been a lot of rumors going around about Marner's future in Toronto. Considering Marner is entering the final year of his contract with the Leafs, all that happened in the recent playoffs, and general manager Brad Treliving confirming he wouldn't dismiss any options on the table to make his team better for the start of next season, it wouldn't be surprising to see Marner being traded this summer.
