Calle Jarnkrok trolls Brad Marchand for being taken down by referee
Brad Marchand was up to his usual antics on Tuesday night, but after trying to instigate a fight, he's been trolled for the unfavourable outcome.
The Toronto Maple Leafs stole a win in a thrilling game five in Boston, and while the score ended up 2-1, it was one of the most eventful games in this series to date. One of the most memorable moments in the game was when captain Brad Marchand attempted to get under the skin of the Maple Leafs, and with a scuffle ensuing, he was taken down promptly by an official.
Unsurprisingly, his reaction went viral on social media immediately, and now, Maple Leafs forward
Calle Jarnkrok has trolled the veteran captain.
Jarnkrok on
Pontus Holmberg wrestling with Brad Marchand last night:
"I don't know how much of a wrestling match it was"
Calle laughs
"I think it was more the ref got him at the end there"
Given the historic rivalry between these two teams, it's no shock that this series has got personal, but even with all the emotion and pressure on the line, there's still time for friendly banter such as this to come out.
The Bruins still hold a 3-2 series lead over the Maple Leafs heading back to a game six in Toronto, but the Leafs are still in great spirits, and if they can carry the momentum over, the final two games of this series will be very intriguing.
