The Maple Leafs held a morning practice session earlier today in Montreal, as they prepare for their game against the Canadiens.

Many Lineup Changes at the Maple Leafs Practice: Marner and Benoit Out

As we reported earlier, Marner was absent:

Not only that, but Sheldon Keefe decided to scratch Simon Benoit to make space for Joel Edmundson.

The coach opened up about that controversial move:

"Sheldon Keefe: «Quite frankly it kills me having to sit Simon Benoit tonight.»

Says the focus was keeping Timothy Liljegren's right shot in the lineup."

Here's the lineup:

"#LeafsForever lines @ morning skate:

Bertuzzi - Matthews - Nylander
Domi - Tavares - Jarnkrok
Knies - Kampf - McMann
Holmberg - Dewar - Reaves

Brodie - McCabe
Rielly - Lyubushkin

In addition of Edmundson, Connor Dewar took part in his first practice with the team.

Details will follow.
