Matt Rempe is making his presence known with a big hit tonight on Maple Leafs trade acquisition Ilya Lyubushkin. Rempe crushed Lyubushkin into the boards with a massive hit.

The hit has caused controversy and led many to believe Rempe should be suspended. Reports have confirmed that Ilya Lyubushkin remains out with an injury as the game heads into the third period.

If Lyubushkin ends up being seriously hurt then Matt Rempe will only continue to build his villain status in Toronto. With the game in the third period, time is running out for the Maple Leafs to make a statement and to see the Rempe and Reaves faceoff.
