Toronto Maple Leafs Recall Defenseman Max Lajoie From the Marlies Ahead of Tonight's Game Against the Ducks

The Maple Leafs made an official roster move earlier today. They've recalled defenseman Max Lajoie from the Marlies.

Drafted in the fifth round of the 2016 draft by the Ottawa Senators, Lajoie took part in four games this season with the Leafs without scoring a point. In 31 games with the Marlies, he tallied 17 points, including two goals.

With Morgan Rielly currently serving his suspension, Conor Timmins dealing with mono and the tragic passing of Mark Giordano's father, the Leafs blue line is extremely thin.

The 26-year-old from Quebec will try to fill that void and show what he can bring in the NHL.
