The Boston Bruins are trying to see who fits in their lineup next season with the playoffs out of the picture, and their latest call-up will frustrate Leafs fans.

Although the Boston Bruins aren't going to make the playoffs, they still have hockey to play for the rest of the season. While it's been a rough go for the once powerful dynasty, there is a lot of hope for the future but it's going to be a few years before we see them rise up the ranks yet again.
It's going to be a team with a brand new identity next season, and unless they re-sign Brad Marchand, they are going to be without any of their players that brought them so much success, so it's time for the new crop of players to make their way onto the team.
One such name that received a call-up is going to make Maple Leafs fans grit their teeth, especially if he turns things up: Fraser Minten.
With the Bruins recalling Minten from Providence, he is set to make his debut with the team on Saturday night (presumably) and it will be his first time back in NHL action since January.

Fraser Minten Gets The Call For Bruins

Traded at the deadline in order to bring Brandon Carlo aboard, there was a lot of upset fans who thought Toronto may have overpaid for some defensive help; but Carlo has been fantastic so far and Minten was an exciting prospect, but it was a necessary evil to trade him.
Now with the farm system stocked up recently with Luke Haymes, Ryan Kirwan, and Borya Valis though, the trading away of Minten might not look so bad after all.
However, it'll remain to be seen how Minten adapts and adjusts to a weaker rebuilding team and if he's able to translate his play into a consistent NHL spot. Boston SHOULD give him premium minutes and see what he can do, but it's all up to head coach Joe Sacco.
This season, Minten has four points in 15 games (2G, 2A) with the Maple Leafs in various call-ups due to injury.
While it's unfortunate that we don't get to see Fraser Minten grow as a member for the Maple Leafs, we will get to see him flourish as an NHL player.
Let's just hope he doesn't hold any grudges and use that as motivation to show his old team what they were missing out on.
