Auston Matthews Shares Special Moment With his Dad After Game 6 Win
The Maple Leafs finally made it past the first round for the first time since 2004 and it's sage to say that a huge weight has been lifted off of everybody's shoulders in the organization.
After years of losing, Auston Matthews's reaction was golden.
Here's what he said:
"I've been here for seven years. Mitch, Willy, and Mo have been here for 10, Johnny for five or six, & just getting over that hump is obviously huge mentally for us & we don't want to look back now. We want to keep putting our foot on the gas and keep pressing forward."
After all this, Matthews returned to meet with his dad, who was in the stands during the game.
