Auston Matthews goes the extra mile to help Toronto Maple Leafs prospects

For Maple Leafs' fans, this is awesome to see only eight weeks after the Maple Leafs were eliminated from the 2024 NHL playoffs.

Many Maple Leafs fan feel that this is going to help Matthews be in prime shape for the 2024-25 NHL season.

With one fan on Facebook saying Matthews is going to get 70 goals this season.

On an organizational level, this is great to see. The face of your franchise out alongside your prospects, allowing a chance to talk to him about the city, team and the pressure that comes with playing in Toronto.

As well as just getting a chance to see Matthews in his element, showing off his skills.

This will likely have a trickle down effect to other Maple Leafs' players like William Nylander, Mitch Marner and John Tavares, who all may be wanting to put in a bit more effort into their off-season training so they all come to training camp on the same level as Matthews.

Matthews is coming off his best season of his career, in 81 games he scored a career-high 69 goals and 38 assists for 107 points.
