With the
end of season press conference in full swing for the Toronto Maple Leafs, several players are getting the chance to voice how they feel how the season went, how they feel, and what are the plans going forward.
One player who had a lot of questions was Anthony Stolarz, as concerns about the true nature of his injury was unknown. However, he shared that news with the media and it's about as bad as you thought.
At least Stolarz holds no hard feelings towards his former teammate, and while it was certainly a nasty injury, we're just glad that Stolarz is seemingly on the road to recovery and will be back in time for next season to help Toronto yet again.

But one has to think how different the season might have turned out for the Maple Leafs had
Stolarz not been injured.
Joseph Woll gave it his all and is certainly no slouch, but couldn't hold a candle to what he had done.
Before he was knocked out, he had a 4-2-0 record with a 2.19 GAA and .901 SV%; a number skewed only by a rough game against Ottawa where they had minimal shots but put a few by him.
His regular season was even better too. Posting a 21-8-3 record with four shutouts, a 2.14 GAA and .926 SV% in his first season, he was even better than advertised and helped Toronto secure their
Atlantic Division title.
Stolarz does have one more season left on his deal, and if he continues to put up the type of performance he had this year, will no doubt be re-signed to a longer deal and could see him backing the blue and white for a few years alongside Woll.
Bringing in the right pieces to work with Craig Berube's system,
potentially moving away from
Mitch Marner and the Core 4 experiment, and adding some much needed scoring in the bottom six could lead Stolarz to even more success.
That makes his injury even worse to stomach, knowing how close the team was without him and how much better they would be with him.
But hindsight is always 20/20 and all we can look forward to is a healthy Anthony Stolarz in 2025-26 to come out and dominate much like he did this season.
