Tyler Bertuzzi Claps Back at His Haters After Embarrassing Performance
Tyler Bertuzzi had his worst night as a Toronto Maple Leaf against the Boston Bruins. He faced a ton of criticism but now has responded to the comments.
Bertuzzi Fails To Do His Job
The Maple Leafs and Bruins game got heated after Bruins forward Brad Marchand injured Timothy Liljegren on a questionable hit.
How is that not a penalty!?
Liljegren leaves the game
After this play the Maple Leafs didn't have much of a response. The only player that decided to challenge Marchand was Ryan Reaves. While Reaves was standing up to Marchand Tyler Bertuzzi just stood by and laughed instead of backing up his teammates.
bruhhh someone save Tyler Bertuzzi from that fanbase
As you can see from the video the Maple Leafs media and fanbase have been incensed by his reaction to the situation. After hearing criticism every day since the game Bertuzzi has finally responded.
Bertuzzi Claps Back At His Haters
Today Tyler Bertuzzi spoke to the media and of course was asked about the incident. He declined to explain why he reacted the way he did.
Tyler Bertuzzi, on him laughing on the bench after the Marchand trip:
«People can perceive that however they want. I'm not going to explain myself»

Bertuzzi was brought in to be a physical presence with a scoring punch. To this point in the season, he has struggled to put up points and now isn't using his edge to his advantage.
If this continues for Bertuzzi he might find himself out of the lineup and out of Toronto sooner rather than later. The Maple Leafs will face off against the Buffalo Sabres tonight at 7 p.m.
