For the Toronto Maple Leafs and Chicago Blackhawks game on October 16, Connor Bedard was not the only news story than came in to town.

It was a 4-1 win for Chicago with Andreas Athanasiou leading the way with two points. Eight other Blackhawk players recorded one points. Connor Bedard, Auston Matthews, and Match Marner registered no points.

Intriguing Guest

St. Louis Blues GM Doug Armstrong was in attendance Monday night according to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period.

Potential Trade Partners?

With the Maple Leafs and Blues being so close to the salary cap ceiling, and in Toronto's case being over the cap covered by LTIR, it may make the most sense for Chicago and St. Louis to potentially be swapping players, or perhaps the Blues are looking to offload one of the teams' expensive defensemen.

There have been rumours that St. Louis has been looking to move a few players, most of those being defensemen.

Are we looking at Parayko or Faulk? Brad Treliving made it clear that the defense is a priority. We absolutely need a defenseman as you can see we made the Blackhawks look good last night.
