The Toronto Maple Leafs are one of the NHL's top teams in the league with their talent but have very little success in the post-season.
The Leafs went out and acquired Ryan O'Reilly and
Luke Schenn at the deadline last year and both players have mentioned the lack of culture in the locker room.
This includes players choosing to no host team dinners instead they choose to eat alone.
Head Coach Sheldon Keefe at the end of the season confirmed some of these issues.
Sheldon Keefe says this is the first series in his time where all Leafs players are eating dinner together on the road. Believes being on the road will help them not get overwhelmed by size of the moment.
Many believe that the problems could lead to the captaincy being stripped from
John Tavares.
Back in the 2018 off season the Leafs signed Tavares to a 7-year $77 million and became the captain of the Leafs roster.
The team under John Tavares has only passed round 1 once in his Leafs career, where in the second round the Leafs were embarrassed by the Florida Panthers.
Tavares has led the Leafs to a very successful regular season but no Stanley Cup victory for the Leafs.
