Last night, in the game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Vancouver Canucks, Mark Giordano broke a franchise record.

If you missed it, Giordano dropped the gloves against Dakota Johnson. The 40-year-old veteran didn't appreciate the hit that Johnson delivered to David Kampf.

With that fight, Giordano became the oldest player in Leafs' history to receive a major penalty for fighting.

"Mark Giordano (40 years, 39 days)

Oldest player in Maple Leafs history with a fighting major; 19 days older than Tim Horton in 1970."


Giordano is already a fan favorite in Toronto, and he gave the public another reason to like him!
