For the first time since the 2023-24 season, William Nylander went viral on Wednesday night and likely Thursday morning for a reason unrelated to his contract or a trade rumour.
Guitarist Dave Hill provided a musical rendition for the Anaheim Ducks during Wednesday's playing of the US and Canadian national anthems. He enjoyed hammering out the anthems, and he included some extra-showmanship in a couple spots.
Nylander could not help grinning and smirking as Hill emphasized the musical passages to an exaggerated degree.

Nylander clearly thought the guitar performance was entertaining and perhaps a little goofy, and he clearly meant no offence to anyone who might interpret it that way.
As the Ducks and Leafs squared off, goalie Lukas Dostal put on a show Wednesday night, saving a total of 55 shots, as the Leafs dominated the shots, 57 to 28. In that game, Dostal broke the franchise record for saves in a game.

The game was a rather one-sided affair and it ended 2-1 in overtime.
Do you know the whole Canadian National Anthem by heart?
