Maple Leafs Head Coach Doesn't Filter Away When Asked About Tyler Bertuzzi
The Maple Leafs bounced back Thursday when they beat the Dallas Stars 4-1 in Dallas. Joseph Woll continued his hot streak and newcomer Tyler Bertuzzi lit the lamp for just the second time this season. Head Coach Sheldon Keefe noticed Bertuzzi's strong play.
Keefe Compliments Bertuzzi
While Bertuzzi has been off to a rather slow start with his new team, Keefe was quick to praise him when he put up a much improved performance in Dallas.
"I thought it was his best game [as a Leaf]. I did. It has been coming."
Keefe noted that Bertuzzi has been contributing to the team despite struggling to find the back of the net. He specifically addressed his ability to keep plays alive and create chances for his team mates. Despite this, Bertuzzi has just one assist so far, but his contributions have not gone unnoticed by Keefe and his staff.
Bertuzzi and the Leafs take on the Nashville Predators tonight in Nashville at 7PM EST.
