Maple Leafs Favorites To Land Top Goalie Prospect
The Toronto Maple Leafs have been in the market for a goaltender for several years now. Joseph Woll looks like a solid prospect moving forward for the team.
It turns out another standout prospect has been under the radar outside the Leafs organization for some time now.
Training Camp Invite Impresses
Goaltender Rastislav Elias has been a mainstay at Leafs development camp in recent years. He has reportedly impressed coaches and front office and is potentially in line for a contract from the Leafs.
After spending time in the USHL with a couple of different teams Elias is heading to HIFK to play next season. Some believe that the Leafs had an influence on this decision.
Elias To Toronto?
While Elias is still a few years away from coming to North America the Leafs could be the favorite to land him once he does.
Elias still has a long way to go as a goaltending prospect but could be a good bet for the Leafs in the long run. He has shown the ability to be a dominant goaltender in his time at the U-18 WJC.
