With the NHL season two months away, there's plenty for hockey fans to get excited about, and with the World Juniors looming as well, the future of hockey will again be on display.
In three years and 144 games with the Kamloops Blazers in the WHL, Minten has tallied 55 goals and an impressive 140 points, and now the 6-foot-1, 185 pound forward is expected to be a key piece of the teams future.
At 19-years of age, Minten still has a long way to go to be considered an NHL ready prospect, but his improvements, both physically and mentally over the past 12 months cannot be understated, as the Maple Leafs may have a genuine rotation piece on their hands for the future.
