Toronto has been hit with an unlucky string of injuries as of late, and it looks like things may have just gotten worse. The Leafs have already lost major additions like Ryan O'Reilly and Noel Accari to injury, and it looks like their roster will continue to suffer major setbacks as they approach the post-season.
While the Maple Leafs continue to win games as they approach the end of the regular season, injuries are certainly making those wins more difficult to achieve. The latest of those injuries came during the Leafs last game, when defenseman T.J Brodie blocked a shot.
Brodie has been a staple on Toronto's blue-line, and his impact will be hard to fill. It's not like Toronto has a shortage of defenders, but none seem to have the same effect that Brodie has on the game. The question now is whether or not Toronto can keep winning games as the injuries begin to pile on, and how it will affect the locker room.
