Leafs Make a Pair of Roster Moves in Anticipation of Samsonov's Return

The Toronto Maple Leafs have assigned goaltender Joseph Woll and forward Alex Steeves to the AHL's Toronto Marlies. It remains uncertain whether Leafs' goalie Ilya Samsonov will play against the New York Islanders tonight, given that he and his wife are expecting their first child in the coming days.

Samsonov Potentially Making an Early Return

Since Woll will not be available for tonight's game, it is likely that Samsonov will take over in the net for the Leafs in Long Island. However, it is possible that the baby has already been born or that Samsonov has decided to take the risk and play tonight before returning to his wife tomorrow.
