The Leafs picked up Noah Gregor on a PTO this offseason, and some are anticipating that he could leave a mark at training camp.
On The Leafs Nation podcast, they discussed Gregor's chances at making the Leafs roster.
Gregor spent the last 4 seasons with San Jose, playing in a total of 178 games over the course of his career. Last season he had 10 goals and 7 assists in 57 games.
The Leafs are definitely tight in terms of bottom-six depth, and it will be a dog fight for the last few roster spots at the start of the year. However, Gregor could luck out from the flexibility of some prospects' contracts like Matthew Knies.
This scenario could certainly play out since Knies is almost a lock to make the Leafs roster after his performance in last year's playoffs. Time will tell who performs best in training camp.
