Fraser Minten played his first career NHL game on Wednesday against the Montreal Canadiens.
In a recent interview, he talked about what he'll remember most about his NHL debut.
Minten's NHL Debut Highlight
The rookie revealed that there are actually two things that marked him that evening.
The first is the win. Playing against the Leafs' biggest rivals, coming back from behind two times to finally win in overtime is a great memory.
The other thing is Auston Matthews' hat trick.
"Minten on what he will remember about his first NHL game: "Probably the win. I think that was really fun. It was a super-exciting game. Probably remember Auston's hat trick. That was pretty sick." #Leafs"
A few other interesting things happened in his first game.
Details on Minten's First Game in the NHL
It started well. Both Minten and Knies got to do their rookie laps together:
"This is fun. Fraser Minten gets the rookie lap, and Matthew Knies comes out second in a pseudo rookie lap. This is his first regular season NHL game at home." Minten even got to celebrate the win with Matthews:
This was definitely a memorable night, and we can't wait to see him on the ice again!
