The Toronto Maple Leafs have not made any official cuts yet but the first one seems to have been leaked.

First Cut Leaked

Training camp is well underway in Toronto and the Leafs are looking to narrow down their roster to 23 players.

While the first round of cuts has yet to happen, we already know the first player to have been cut due to it being leaked.

Looks like TOR has unofficially assigned Brandon Lisowsky to Saskatoon (WHL), as he played in their opener and recorded an assist.

WHLers Noah Chadwick and Mazden Leslie missed their teams' first games though and appear to still be at TOR camp.

Lisowsky was spotted playing in the Saskatoon Blades' first game which happened last night. He was slotted in on the first line.

Lisowsky's NHL Future

Lisowsky was originally selected by the Leafs in the 2022 NHL draft in the 7th round. He is listed at 5'9" but he is quite sturdy sitting at 191lbs, an NHL frame.

Lisowsky scored 71 points in 65 games with the Blades last season proving to be an offensive weapon on the Blades' roster.

He registered one assist last night starting off strong with them but was also a -1.

If Lysowsky is able to put all of his skills together, he could wind up becoming a player for the Leafs despite his small size.
