Controversial Referee Assigned to Maple Leafs' Game 3

As the Maple Leafs prepare for an all important game three in Florida tonight, news has come out that fans worst nightmares may be true. Toronto and their fans have been at odds with the officiating all post-season, and the most important game of their season will come with some controversial officials.

Wes McCauley to Ref Game Three

Wes McCauley is well known throughout the league for his likable personality and entertaining penalty announcements. Many fans enjoy watching him referee their games, except for Toronto of course. This is because Leafs fans seem to think that McCauley has a personal bias against Toronto and their coach Sheldon Keefe



The reason for this outlandish claim is due to the fact that Wes McCauley's brother in law was involved in a legal case in which Sheldon Keefe testified against. That, in addition to an incident earlier this year where McCauley and Keefe got into a shouting match mid-game, has led fans to believe that McCauley has a conflict of interest, and shouldn't ref Leafs games.
