The Toronto Maple Leafs just announced that they have made a bunch of roster cuts and have sent the following players down to the AHL.

Forwards: N. Abruzzese, J. Blandisi, M. Ellis, R. Hirvonen, B. Kressler, R. Mastrosimone, D. Ovchinnikov, J. O'Brien, N. Shea, L. Shaw, T. Singleton, J. Slavin, A. Steeves, K. Suthers, R. Tverberg, T. Voit, T. Weiss

Defencemen: N. Dillingham, M. Hellickson, T. Niemela, M. Pietroniro, M. Rifai, J. Tychonick, W. Villeneuve

Goaltenders: L. Cavallin, D. Hildeby, V. Peksa

These players are all looking to make an impression with the Marlies and hopefully earn a spot with the Leafs one day.

No waiver assignments announced yet. Fraser Minten, Easton Cowan, and Spencer Sova yet to be assigned to junior too
