BREAKING: Toronto Maple Leafs Reveal Starter For Tonight's Battle Of Ontario
Sheldon Keefe has made his decision on who will get the nod in net tonight versus the Ottawa Senators.
Woll Starts Versus Ottawa
The Toronto Maple Leafs are getting ready to play the Ottawa Senators tonight in the battle of Ontario and have made their decision on who will get the start in the net.
Joseph Woll is the first goaltender off the ice and is the projected starter against the Sens tonight. Woll had a strong performance versus Tampa Bay after coming in relief for Ilya Samsonov. Woll has been the stronger of the two goaltenders thus far and is emerging as the Leafs' goaltender of the future.
Through seven games so far this season, Woll has registered a .930 SV% and a 2.30 GAA. He has started five games so far and has added on four wins. If he is able to keep this pace up, Woll could emerge as a potential Calder trophy candidate.
