Joseph Woll was on the ice for the first time since he got a high ankle sprain a month ago.
"Joseph Woll is doing some light work this morning. First time we've seen him on the ice since his injury.
He's in full gear, but they are being careful with movement."
No official date has been announced concerning his return to action.
With Samsonov in the AHL, Woll and Martin Jones should be the Leafs goalie duo for the rest of the season.
