Fraser Minten was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs with the 38th pick in the 2022 NHL Draft. After one year in juniors it seems that the Toronto Maple Leafs believe he is ready for an NHL opportunity.
Minten Makes The Cut With The Maple Leafs
Today some final roster moves were made by the Toronto Maple Leafs to get the team ready for opening day.
As part of these roster moves many expected Fraser Minten to be sent back to his junior team in the WHL. But according to practice today he seems to have made the cut for now.

Minten looks to be practicing with the main group today which is a great sign for him so close to the season. He will likely start the season with the Maple Leafs in the lineup.
Last season Minten played 57 games in the WHL and accumulated 67 points. This was enough improvement to convince the Maple Leafs he is ready for an NHL opportunity.
