$57 million man sent to Maple Leafs in recent blockbuster trade pitch proposal

Keller is entering the fifth season of his eight-year deal that will see him paid $57.2 million. He has picked up a solid 418 points in his 520 NHL games. Marner on the other hand, has accumulated 639 points in 576 NHL games. He is going to be a UFA at the end of next season if the Leafs don't re-sign him, and it's expected he's going to command a salary well over 10 or $11 million, and the Leafs are too cash strapped to be able to afford that. A trade here would make sense to shed dollars off the cap.
