MUST SEE: Brendan Tanev Pounds Away on Connor Garland

Old-school hockey fights are few and far between these days in the NHL. Whiel there is still fighting happening, it's not often that guys really square up and throw haymakers. However, this wasn't the case last night in the Kraken versus Canucks game.

During the game, Brandon Tanev decided it was time to drop the gloves with Vancouver's Connor Garland. The video shows Tanev throwing upper-cut after upper-cut, with Garland just holding on for dear life. Take a look.

The Kraken was able to use this momentum from Tanev to secure a nice victory against this year's Western Conference darling the Vancouver Canucks. The win could be huge for the Kraken, who need to find themselves down the stretch if they want a shot at making the playoffs and going for a post-season push.

One thing is clear though, they have a defenseman who has put the league on blast that they shouldn't mess with him or the team.
