One NHL franchise has announced that they intend to head to Quebec for the beginning of next season.
Kings Without A Home Next Season
The Los Angeles Kings have announced that they are looking for a new home to begin next season. This comes after Crypto.com Arena announced they will be doing renovations that will continue into the preseason of the Kings.

Recently phase 2 of the renovations were complete. However, the next phase has led the Los Angeles Kings to a new home for the preseason games next season.
NHL Returns To Quebec
Today the Los Angeles Kings announced along with the Quebec government that the Kings will play two preseason games in Quebec City.

The Kings will play two marquee teams in the Boston Bruins and the Florida Panthers in their pair of games in Quebec City.
Kings announce they'll play 2 preseason games in Quebec City on October 3 (Boston) and October 5 (Florida).
It has been revealed that the Quebec government offered the Kings organization 5 million dollars to bring these games to Quebec City. Let's hope for the city it's a worthy investment that stimulates the local economy and shows the passion for hockey in the city.
The Quebec government is offering the L.A. Kings $5M for them to spend a week of their training camp in Quebec City in October of 2024.
As much as I would love to see the Nordiques come back, is this really the best use of tax payer dollars and will it even make the NHL budge?
The game will be a showcase of a city that has been clamoring for the return of NHL hockey. If they have a successful return in these preseason games it could lead to more chatter of an expansion or relocation team in Quebec City.
