Pittsburgh Penguins demote Norris Defenseman Erik Karlsson

Norris Award-winning defenseman Eric Karlsson, who plays for the Pittsburgh Penguins has been placed on the second unit of the powerplay for the team and it has come at a time when the Penguins team is currently questioning their identity.

The Penguins team is currently struggling to have a team that was supposed to go down the stretch with a promising effect, which has not been accurate for the team itself because of the lack of wins in the record column.

Pittsburgh Penguins General Manager Kyle Dubas had traded for Karlsson in what was supposed to be a promising outlook for the Penguins team and future as well, but, has not come to light for the defenseman who is struggling.


Erik Karlsson has tallied 19 points this 2023-24 season, however, he was expected to record far more concerning his game.

Letang is back on the top power-play unit, joining Karlsson, Crosby, Malkin, and Guentzel.
